Modeling¶

We model groundwater flow using MODFLOW and other groundwater models, non-reactive and reactive transport with MT3D, RT3D, PHT3D, and PHAST. We also work with PHREEQC and develop our own extension PHREEQPY. Furthermore, we model lake and river hydrodynamics, transport and water quality with CE-QUAL-W2 and PITLAKQ, a coupled model incorporating CE-QUAL-W2 and PHREEQC, as well as groundwater inflow, erosion and other processes. We are the developers and maintainers of PITLAKQ.
